Philosophy

We have a conservative investment culture that seeks to reduce the effects of taxes and inflation on portfolio assets. We believe the ability to mitigate these expenses on portfolios enhances returns and provides a path to investment performance over longer periods of time.

We put our clients first. When a client calls our firm, they are connected to the portfolio manager assigned to their account. We pride ourselves on our strong client focused culture. It is from this culture that we have developed a disciplined approach to growing client’s assets. If over time we can increase client assets, we believe it will provide stability and longevity for our firm.

To ensure performance and attention to detail, we limit the number of accounts assigned to each manager. We are proud of the fact that our average tenure with clients exceeds ten years and believe that this is a reflection of our performance, integrity and personalized attention.

We seek to identify and follow economic trends but also recognize a cyclical nature to events. For the most part we invest with these trends. At times we recognize the need for a contrarian approach and the ability to manage through the ups and downs to capture performance.

We do this through adherence to diversification as one of the key components in controlling risk in portfolios. Combining risk management with careful equity and bond selection can reduce the volatility of an account as well as provide a steady stream of current income over time.
